Rising from a throbbing flat-four burble upon idle to an awesome howl upon wide open-throttle throttle acceleration, the Afterburner Typhoon might just offer the best of both worlds - easy to live with for the every day commute yet all the fun when you need it to be - and now in stock for immediate dispatch for 2001-2007 WRX and STI.
Manufactured in 304 grade stainless steel with a highly mirror polished finish from tailpipe to flange and features a 4.5" slash-cut Tailpipe.
The pipework is mandrel bent for maximum flow rate and all welding is carried out by precision robots, resulting in an extremely neat finish. This is a straight exit exhaust, so exits the rear of the car at the same angle that the original does and uses standard Subaru WRX / STI bore pipework, meaning its a direct replacement quick fit for the original rear silencer on WRX and STI 2001-2007 including the Bugeye, Blobeye and Hawkeye models.
The tailpipe includes a small bolt hole at the bottom for securing optional removable baffle. All three exhaust support brackets are present for easy installation onto the original exhaust rubber hangers.
The Typhoon provides a low frequency burble on tickover and a throaty roar on acceleration yet relatively quiet on cruise.
Fits WRX and STI 2001-2007 Saloon and Wagon.
Its compatible with our other Afterburner exhaust pieces such as centre section and with the original Subaru pipework.
Supplied boxed as shown, with optional gasket and bolt set for £4.99 and optional baffle (which reduces sound) at £9.99.
